Trend Alert

The Side Split Skirt.
So... I had one of these in the 90's and it looks like they're making their way back... Amazing how fast fashion trends are cycling! Love it paired with a T-shirt (tucked in of course!)

My Favourite Maxi Skirt Combo's

I am a huge fan of the black tank tucked in to skirts! Loving the narrow leather belt!

India + more 70's Inspiration

So my fascination with all things 70's continues! When I was up in Auckland last I stayed in Papatoetoe. I ended up exploring the Indian shops up there and bought myself an Indian Tunic top. Now that my sewing machine has arrived I'm ready to convert it into a little tribal tunic dress. Watch this space!!!

Dare to Wear

So... The Leather Short - fashion faux pas or super cool?
I just bought a pair - now to dare to wear them!

TOMS Shoes

Last weekend I attended the Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit (at a Downlink Site). They interviewed a young entrepreneur - Blake Mycoskie. In 2006, while traveling, Blake befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS. Check out the website for more info on his One for One Movement and check out all the cool shoe designs TOMS have! Here are a few of my favourites...

Love the shoes!! Love the One for One Business model! And...

...I LOVE Blake!!
